[li]Intelligent
-Benjamin is excruciatingly smart; he always has been. Everything is a puzzle to him. More so, a puzzle he can solve. He’s not really creative in how he does things; he just uses logic and common sense, which is actually a pretty uncommon way to do things.

-Once Benjamin has decided he enjoys something, such a thing can bring a smile to his face most any moment. This is closely related to being passionate, or being able to be swept up in the moment.

-This could also be stated as watchful. He tries to learn everything he can in any given situation. Because of this trait, it is often hard to catch him by surprise. By watching details, he can understand the larger picture.

-When he feels something, he feels it. Little could sway him. He feels emotions to the extreme, and his attempt to hide these emotions often fails. This isn’t to say he’s over-emotional, or emotional at all. He feels few emotions in a day, rarely more than one emotion at a time. He just feels these emotions greatly.

-Benjamin is able to look at things from any perspective. Because of this, he can really feel your predicament. It’s not that he cares, but he understands. This is often mistaken, but comprehension is not equal to compassion.

[li]Stubborn
-Once he has made up his mind, little aside from a bulldozer or a bribe could make him change his mind. He is, on the other hand, willing to strike deals.

-He doesn’t like people. He has nothing against any person in specific, but the general stupidity of humanity drives him absolutely insane. He can easily hold up a conversation, or entertain a group if the mood so strikes him, but those moods are rare, and he’d rather hang close to a corner than stand in the middle of a room doing tricks.

-Although he understands why someone does what they do, that does not mean he likes it. He sees very little point in social conventions, and so rarely follows them. He thinks that it is ridiculous to avoid asking a question that you would like to know the answer too because it might offend someone. Honestly, if he gets his answer, he doesn’t really care who he offends.
[/li][li]Uncompassionate
-He refuses to care about something that does not, or may never, concern him. Such an idea sounds like a waste of time. Unless someone is close to his heart, why should he care about theirs? No one really cares what he’s feeling, so it really is pointless.
[/li][li]Pessimistic
-Here, the term realistic may apply just as well. If he is trapped in a dungeon, he won’t be searching for a silverlining. He’ll be looking for the weak spot in the cuffs that he doubts is there. That’s not to say he’s unrealistic. If he’s sitting in Paradise, he’d know it’d end, but he’d enjoy it.[/li][/ul]
His past accounts for much of his personality. His mother loved him dearly, but, really, with a father like his, there was nothing you could do. Had his mother been cruel to him, he would want nothing more than attention. With a cruel father, but loving mother and adoring younger sister, he made it. He had to harden, because if he didn’t take his father’s punches, the women would. This gave him his realistic side, and made him so stubborn and intense. His mother taught him most of his good traits, but… The way he was treated in social situations gave him everything else. Unexplained bruises, jumpiness, snappy responses… All of these things made people distrustful of him. Now that he’s big, bad, and can take care of himself, he’s distrustful of people.[/ul]

Quirks and Habits![/color]
When he feels nervous, he pulls out his old pocket knife, flipping the blade in and out of its holder. He runs his tongue along his teeth when he thinks. He smokes… about as much as his cash flow would allow.
Family[/color]
He, actually, has an extremely large family. Unfortunately, most of that is still in Ireland. Benjamin has not had any access to overseas travel, though, and so he cannot vouch for whether this extended family is alive or dead. His mother perished when she ran from his abusive father during the war and was taken as a prostitute, as she was so small she could pass for a teen. He got in an extremely large argument with his father, and as such rarely speaks with him. He does, on the other hand, talk with his sister, whom he loves dearly. She has just turned seventeen, and is unsure of what to do in the world. He’s trying to coach her through life right now, because he cares, but… It’s not in his nature to be so kind.

He is relatively good at fighting. It’s not that he has any real skill, just brute strength and common sense.
General Apperance[/color]
Benjamin is approximately six-foot two inches tall. Caucasian male. Benjamin has large, gravestone-teeth, that make his smile something near frightening if his lips stretch too widely. He has really, excessively large hands. He has a muscular build. His arms and legs are long. He has long, shaggy red hair.
He wears a white t-shirt over jeans. White tennis shoes are on his feet. Occasionally, he’s also seen with a large, light leather jacket. He also wears an eye patch, from a childhood accident playing with scissors. It has been suggested he get some type of fake eye, but... He thinks they're rather creepy.
Weapons and Possessions[/color]
His only weapons are a 9mm semi-automatic handgun and a small pocket knife, that barely counts as dangerous.
He does, on the other hand, have one prized possession. He owns a vintage leather jacket, handed down from father to son for nearly seventy years, being mended so many times that all of the leathers look to belong perfectly in the coat.

; Jeez, That's one lucky family. Ireland was hit too in the war, just so you know. It doesn't seem very realistic that none of his family died.
